Mirataz^® (mirtazapine transdermal ointment)

Mirataz is indicated for the management of weight loss in cats and is for topical use in cats only under veterinary supervision. Not for oral or ophthalmic use. 

Each gram contains Mirtazapine 20mg

Starting in early June, the packaging size will be changed from 5 grams to 3 grams accordingly.

Dosage and administration:

Administer topically by applying a 1.5-inch ribbon of ointment (approximately 2mg per cat) to the inner pinna of the cat's ear once daily for 14 days. Discard within 30 days of first use.

Wear disposable gloves when applying Mirataz^® . Dispose of used gloves after each application.

Alternate the daily application between the left and right inner pinna of the ears. Do not administer into the external ear canal. If desired, the inner pinna of the cat's ear may be cleansed by wiping with a dry tissue or cloth immediately prior to the next schedule dose. If a dose is missed, apply Mirataz^® the following day and resume daily dosing.
