Indications:
Famotidine is a H2 antagonists, sometimes called H2 blockers, they are a class of medications that block the action of histamine at the histamine H2 receptors of the parietal cells in the stomach. This decreases the production of stomach acid. It is indicated in the treatment and/or prophylaxis of gastric, abomasal, and duodenalulcers; uremic gastritis; stress-related or drugs-induced erosive gastritis; esophagitis; diodenal gastric reflus; and oesophageal reflux.
